Tagged again!

Lynn tagged me. I always think these are so fun to read. Here are my responses:

Question 1: Ten years ago.

Seems like yesterday. Where did the time go?

Question 2: Five things on today’s “to do list”

1. Finish a layout I'm working on.
2. Start putting labels on my scrapbook paper files (I'm in the middle of reorganizing my space).
3. Go grocery shopping to buy some healthy food because I want to start dieting this week.
4. Call Mom.
5. Go out and about with Farzad.

Question 3: Snacks I enjoy.

chocolate, nuts, chips and dip, pretty much anything that's fattening and not good for me!

Question 4: Things I would do if I was a millionaire.

Buy a bigger house. Buy a second house at the beach. Take my whole family on a kick-ass vacation.

Question 5: Places I have lived.

Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Bolivia.

So now I have to tag 4 other people. Here are "the rules" of this tag:

Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 4 people and posts their names with links to their blog, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.

And here's who I am tagging:

Janet

Colleen

If At First...

When Janet sent me the color swatch for this week's challenge at Color Combos Galore, my first thought was "ugh." A big ole ugh." But a commitment's a commitment, so I set to looking for papers and once I started working on this page, I fell in love with the color scheme! I think the colors were just perfect for this adorable photo of my nephew.

I've been trying to use some of my really old stuff, mixed with newer stuff, and here I used some really old Chatterbox papers and some ANCIENT frames--got a whole bunch of them when they were the craze--This & That, I think they were called. I'm slightly perturbed becaused I used the wrong frame. I had another frame all picked out--it was a solid red, rather than polka-dot. Somehow I adhered the wrong frame and didn't realize it until the whole page was done and I found the one I had meant to use upside down in my pile of scraps. The gray paper in the background truly is an exact match to the one in the color swatch, but my scanner sometimes plays tricks with colors.

Where Have I Been?

I just noticed that my name and Farzad's cute face is on banner on the Two Peas home page. Has that been there all month? It flashes through three different pictures, so that's probably why I never noticed until today. What fun!

Here are the pages I made for the mid-month Garden. Again, these were all inspired by ads (if you click on the above link you can see which ads inspired the layouts.

Happy, Fun Stuff - I've Been Planted in the Garden!

A couple of weeks ago, I got the most surprising e-mail from Melanie Bauer, the education and community manager at Two Peas, asking me to be the Guest Garden Girl for June. How exciting! Of course, I said yes!

This month's theme is inspired by ads. It was so much fun making these pages. I also received a box of goodies, which is why you will see several using BasicGrey's Boxer line. I also got some Making Memories stuff, which I used on my layout called "This Much." (They also sent me some Doodlebug flocking powder and a cool Maya Road chipboard album, which I haven't had time to play with yet.)

Here are the eight pages I made for the Garden (if you want to see the ads that inspired these layouts, you can click on the link above):
