Back to School

Today is a sad day. My last day of summer. Where DID the summer go? It just raced right past me, and now it's over. I spent a lot of time scrapping and way too much time just wasting time, even though I'd get up every morning at 6:00 (I hate wasting my free time sleeping). I accomplished a few things on my very long summer to-do list, but neglected to cross a lot off that list.

So now I have exactly fifteen hours and twelve minutes left of summer break, six of which I will spend sleeping. I'm blue.

Here's a layout I made last weekend for How Much Is Too Much?. It was my turn to come up with the challenge, and I called it "An Apple for the Teacher" and we had to use apples and other school-type things. This is a school picture of me from a few years ago.

Scrapbooks, Etc.

I never posted this because somehow the magazine disappeared, but I unearthed it as I was cleaning my very messy scrap room today.

That layout called "Milestones" on the bottom is mine!

And it was published in this issue of Scrapbooks, Etc.

Here's a closer-up view of the layout:

How Much Is Too Much?

We have a sponsor for How Much Is Too Much? this week! Eve Johnson, who has an etsy shop called Evalicious, sent us some beautiful handcrafted embellishments to work with. So our challenge is called "Homespun and Handcrafted," and we challenge you to use handmade embellishments on your layout.

Eve has generously offered a RAK to a randomly chosen participant of this challenge, so I hope you will join us this week. To qualify for the drawing, please post a link to your layout on this thread at the Pub at Two Peas.

Here is the layout I made for the challenge. I just love these blue green mix button embellishments that Eve sent me. The colors and textures and stitching added a wonderful homespun touch to my page. That's my husband and my wacky grandmother, who's going to be 90 in a month. She had some kind of bump on her behind and wanted everyone to feel it! Nobody succumbed, except my kind-hearted husband--he's such a good sport!
Thank you, Eve, for sending all these beautiful embellishments to me and for sponsoring our challenge!
