I've been wanting to do a page like the one I made forever, and Em's fantastic sketch was the perfect opportunity
Clues I used...Evidence: wood, musical element, circles, tone-on-tone. Testimony: Document a friendship.
Here are some details... The green paper in the background is old Fancy Pants. I used a Crafter's Workshop mask and stamp ink to make those dots. The yellow letters are by Jillibean Soup. I sanded them. The wooden "happy" is by Studio Calico. The red letters are by Webster's pages.
I had to make my journaling really tiny to fit into the little wooden Studio Calico typewriter--it's 5 point font. That yellow brad is really old, by Deja Views. The yellow striped paper is by Studio Calico.
The red star paper is by Pink Paislee. That teal paper is really old--Narratives by Creative Imagination. The plaid is by My Mind's Eye.
I was trying to make my papers a little wonky, but I cut the striped one too wonky, LOL, and I tried to fix it with the border punched paper. That yellow bit that says "Happy Is as Happy Does" is by K&Co--Words to Go--remember those old things that came in the Chinese take-out boxes? Gosh there were gazillions in there.
I added those silver dots at the last minute, before I went to photograph my page. You know how you give it that last once-over and realize something's amiss...
You must go check out what the rest of the team and our guest designers made! Really fun stuff!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and reading about my page.

Wow Debbi...you positively nailed this color challenge....it is beautiful.
A wonderful page Debbi. I love how you use your older stash in such a modern and funky way, by combining it with trendy punches ans SC wood bits, arrows etc. As I can over the course of this year I'm going to start resorting all my older papers now by colour not manufacturer, so that the thought Of a colour challenge will be easier me to contemplate!
