Here's the page I made. I really wanted to make a page about my cats for this Case File, but I'm making an album for a friend of mine, and this picture was just too perfect for the palette that I had to use it for this challenge.
Clues I used: Evidence: animals, trees, diamonds, triangles, stripes, transparent stuff, frame, something fuzzy, puffy stickers; Testimony: Peekaboo journaling.
I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:
Here are some closeups: I went searching in my transparent items drawer, and I was so pleased to find this transparent corner by Making Memories that's been in my stash for probably a decade! The You brad is by October Afternoon. I also found some fuzzy brads matching the palette. The background chevron paper is by We R Memory Keepers. The orange text print is old, by Jenni Bowlin. I tucked a tag behind the papers so that my friend could journal about her kids' bedtime ritual. That frame is by Crate Paper.
I just love these phrase stickers by Simple Stories! The chipboard letters and the ampersand are boht by BasicGrey. That brown paper is by Crate Paper.
How fortunate that I was able to find this felt tree in just the right color, which fulfilled the tree and fuzz clues in the Case File, and the little lions met the puffy sticker and animal clues.
I got the idea of layering more than one triangle in the corners of the sketch from Nicole Doiron, who's on the Stuck?! Sketches design team. I thought the corner still looked a little empty, so I added a bit of doily, some punched hearts and some other bits and pieces. I used a stencil by Crafter's Workshop and texture paste for some added detail. That diamond paper is by Teresa Collins.
