Work in Progress + Color Combos Galore = Fun!

I was happy to discover the colors for this week's challenge at Color Combos Galore coordinated with the August Work in Progress Kit (which is still available!). Here's the palette we were working with:

And here's my layout, featuring my cutie-pie nephew. The Echo Park elements in the kit were perfectly whimsical to go with my page.

There was a fun striped paper, and I cut the triangle designs out to make a little banner element below my title.

The bird's wing was green, which didn't go with the color scheme, so I covered it with some of the yellow paper. I cut out 3 of the flags in the Echo Park banner sticker that coordinated with my colors, so I still have some of the banner left for another page.

I scuffed up the papers with an edge distresser, and took sandpaper to the stickers to give them a scruffy look.

Tomorrow I'll share some more of the work I did with this awesome kit!

I love this! It's awesome how you used your brads and I love that your banner isn't the typical triangle! Very fun and fresh!
