So I decided to document my tea buddy, and the February Work in Progress Add-on Kit was just the thing for my layout.
It started with this piece of paper:
And here's what I made:
I cut the roof off of the house, and as I was assembling my layout, a little scrap of border-punched paper leftover from another layout that was sitting on my desk caught my eye, and that's what made me think of adding it to the white parts of the roof:
The little teapot was cut out from one of the patterned papers in the kit. Aren't those black dots fun? I got them in a whole bunch of colors from Jo-Ann's for about a dollar a pack. They're self-adhesive and nice and shiny.
I punched the green floral paper to act as grass in front of the house, but it was looking a little too bold, so I added an old Making Memories defiition that I've had in my stash for probably eight years.
The Work in Progress Gallery is now up, and the design team did a fabulous job with this collection. The February kits were great fun to play with, and I think there are still a couple available. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and reading about my page! I'll share the others in the coming days.

What an adorable layout! I love tea too, I don't collect it like you, but I understand it. :)
Nothing short of absolutely adorable.
Love your scrapbook style! As always, your pages are incredibly detailed and fabulously embellished! I marvel at your creativity and your artistry in layering everything so perfectly the way you do--I've tried it and always end up with a haphazard mess. Thanks for sharing your gift with us!
