Re-Wind at CP4U

Challenge #51 is up at Creative Prompts for You, and it's a fun one--especially if you've been wanting to play but for some reason time got away. This week's prompt is to go back and do any of the past 50 challenges. I went way back to Challenge 11, a challenge called "Butterflies, Clearly Speaking," where we had to use a transprent element and use this image as inspiration:

And here is the page I made. I was drawn to Challenge #11: Butterflies...Clearly Speaking. The butterfly in the inspiration piece immediately reminded me of the Cavallini butterfly folder I had received in a scrapbook kit a few years back so I cut that out to use as a main design element and placed it at the bottom of my layout, like the butterfly in the inspiration piece. I was also inspired the text background and used some old 7 Gypsies text paper as my backdrop.

If you think this is a lame topic for a layout, take a look at this page I made a few months back, and you'll understand why I made it (journaling for that layout, in case you're interested, can be found here). I've lost 60 pounds so far.

For the clear element, I used a clear frame by Glitz Designs.

The moth and chalboard numbers also came from the same folder. I got the label holding the word "at" in my title from The Graphics Fairy. The sparkly chipboard letters are Making Memories--a couple of years old. Watch faces are by The Paper Studio.

The gold swirls are Prima, as is the text flower. The striped paper is Cosmo Cricket (Earth Love), and the ornate design beneath the strips is cut out of a Webster's Pages paper.

I hope you'll come over to CP4U and check out all the awesome inspiration over there and play along. This month's prize is from WeScrap.com. As a winner, you will get to chose ANY one of the WeScrap kits in stock as your prize!

Thank you for visiting and reading about my layout! Let me know (and link me up) if you play in a challenge!

This layout is stunning, I admire your truthful style of scrapping, lets face it those around you already love you for who and what you. Too many people are afraid to scrap themselves simply because they don't meet some sort of expectation. Well done on the 20 pound loss that is an amazing achievement. Love the layout and how you incorporated the elements from the inspiration picture. Great use of the transparencie behind your picture.

Oops sorry Deb, I did a quick conversion from LBs to Kilos and put 20lbs instead of Kilos, but wow that is 27.5kgs which is an amazing loss. I would love to go on some thing like Biggest loser, not because I have a lot to lose but I would get this 5 stubborn kilos off...LOL good job and keep up the good work.
