Shine {CSI Case File No. 33}

Case File No. 33 is open for investigation at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration!

And check out the awesome Coordinates Michele made for us this week:

I made another page for Monica's book. In case you don't know about her story, Monica is my best friend's daughter. Her 23-year-old husband just died a month after a six-year battle with bone cancer. I'm grabbing pictures off of their Facebook pages to make her a book to remember all the precious memories from their too-short life together.

I used another awesome Page Drafts sketch by Em Stafrace as inspiration for my page design:

Here are some details. I love the little nautical flags in the Coordinates this week that Michele made to coordinate with our colors. I printed my Coordinates on photo paper this week. The papers you can see are by Little Yellow Bicycle (blue), Studio Calico (gray), and 7 Gypsies (red).

Here are some more elements from the Coordinates. I found that plastic compass in my stash. I have no idea where it came from, but it's been sitting in my clock accent drawer forever and I finally found a way to use it!

Of course I had to use the Fiskars wave border punch here. I found an old transparency that's been gathering dust in my stash forEVER and used it for the transparent clue. The light blue paper in the background is from the B side of an old Scrapworks paper. You can see where my red paper buckled when I was stitching it. Grrrr...

For my shiny element, I used these silver Thickers that are super shiny but didn't photograph well.

We have another gorgeous reveal, so you need to go check out what the rest of the team and guest designers made with this Case File. And you'll want to play along for a chance to win a prize from our August sponsor, Peace, Love & Scrapbooking. They're offering a kit of your choice if you win. Plus, we're on the prowl for future guest designers, so that's another reason to join us!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and reading about my page!
