Me & Warren {2Crafty Design Team Work}

I posted my May shares as a Resident Guest Designer on the 2Crafty blog yesterday. I'm excited to share that I've been invited to join the design for the 2014/2015 term! Here's a new page I made to share using the fantastic 2Crafty chipboard.

 (Yes, that's Warren Beatty with my stepdad). This page was inspired by the current palette over at The Color Room:

In the close-up below, you can see the following2Crafty  products:

Starts Multi Pack
Assorted Arrows Multi Pack

I cut the filmstrip in half and tucked each end beneath the layers in order to extend
the length for this 9 x 9 page, painted it with black acrylic paint, and stitched it
down with some embroidery floss. The filmstrip was a perfect accent for this
 movie star page, as were the stars, which I coated with gesso and then used
 Ranger enchanted gold embossing powder. I mixed a few colors of acrylic paint
to match the palette and painted the chipboard letters and arrows. Once they dried,
 I outlined them with a fine pen.

In the next close-up, you can see:

This speech bubble is definitely cool, and I painted it to match the palette and then
stamped it with black Distress Ink and again outlined it with a fine pen.

In the picture below, you can see an arrow from the set called...

I really wanted to use the "How Was Your Day?" tag, but it was quite large, and the red just overwhelmed the page. The arrow was the perfect thing to break up that large expanse of red.

I love this layout. This is the style that I so typically recognise as you. I love how you put together seemingly random and eclectic bits and it comes together to create such a fun happy layout.
Congrats on the 2Crafty gig. They are so lucky to have you <3
