Here's my page, featuring my 95-year-old grandmother (the picture was taken a couple of years ago).
Clues I used...Evidence: mixed media background, wings, hearts, floral pattern (the green paper), polka dots, stripes, pockets, stencil; Testimony: put your story in a pocket, write a letter)
I used the October challenge at Once Upon a Sketch as further inspiration for my page. The journaling theme is "The women/girls in our life..." and here's the sketch:
I was in a rush this week--had to take my photo during recess today and didn't have my other camera for closeups, so no detail shots this week, but I think you can see everything clearly. The butterflies' wings are lifted up with pop dots.
My journaling is about how my Gram loves to call herself the "Grand Matriarch" of her family. It's written in letter form and talks about how she's been such a blessing and support to us through the years.
I used lots of old stuff on here (except the stencil, which is by The Crafter's Workshop/Jenni Bowlin). Papers I used: Webster's Pages (cream script background paper), Jenni Bowlin (red flowers); K&Co. (blue paper); Kaisercraft (butterflies); Crate Paper (black and white stripes); Jillibean Soup (red polka dots). I made a stencil with my Silhouette (hearts). I used stamp ink and gelatos for the background using my "smushy-plastic" technique. I'm so technical, aren't I, LOL? I think the stamp is by Hero Arts.
