#Hashtag Selfie Fail {CSI Major Case File No. 157}

We've got a brand-new Case File open for investigation at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. It's a super-fun Case File that will stay open for the whole month and features a Page Drafts Sketch by Em Stafrace and The Nifty Pixel.

Here's my page. I still have a gazillion pictures from Tracee's visit to scrap, and she's coming back in June, so I thought I better get a move on scrapping some of those photos.

Clues I used...Evidence: grid pattern, scallops, camera, circles, metal, polaroid frame, hearts, distressing (sort of), something fuzzy, buttons, pen work; Testimony: Six-word memoir; Inspiration Words: selfie.

Here are some details. Tracee and I were at Michael's one day and we saw this cool "friends" decoration. Tracee thought it would be a fun idea for us to take a selfie holding it. Only I was holding it backwards. Doh! Once we figured that out, we were laughing our butts off, as you can see in the second picture.

I always love it when I can use my Sassafras Lass monsters, and this was a perfect page for them! The cool chipboard circles and filmstrips are by 2Crafty. I heat embossed them in black. The cut-out cameras are from an American Crafts Amy Tan paper. The little metal dots by Colorbok were perfect to add to the lens and doubled up for the heart and metal clues. Those 7Gypsies phrase stickers are so fun and perfect for this page.

Loved the Epic win/fail Studio Calico stamp for this page. The Chipboard title is also by 2Crafty. I got a whole set of selfie-themed chipoboard titles in the set, so I need to take more selfies. I added felt Making Memories letter stickers for the fuzzy clue. I need to add buttons to the CSI Evidence lists more often. So happy to use a few on this page!

There's another little Sassafras Lass monster peeking out of the camera. For my background, I used texture paste and a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. Then, I used some blue gelatos to give it color after the paste dried. Next, I used a bunch of stamps and some splattered spray mist.

Ha! Another fun 7Gypsies sticker tucked in at the bottom, and how perfect was this strip from an October Afternoon paper..."This is a test...This is only a test..." Ha!

I had so much fun making this page! Every time I look at the pictures, I smile and giggle to myself!

You must come see the awesome work by the design team and guest designers. AND you must play! Lots of reasons to solve this Case File...

  1. It's super-fun!
  2. Guest Designers will be chosen from the 5 Most Wanted pages.
  3. It's one of the Case Files to solve for the design team call.
  4. You could win a fabulous prize from one of our 4 sponsors SistersArt Creation, SODAlicious, Vilda Stamps, and Flying Unicorn.
