2Crafty February Design Team Work

It's my turn to share at the 2Crafty blog today. Here's my post:

"Enjoy Today"

This photo of my husband's niece and her cousins was taken on Lombard Street during their trip to  San Francisco.  Of course I found some perfect 2Crafty chipboard pieces that would be perfect for the modern, urban look I was going for.

But before we start...
Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

For those who don't know this landmark, Lombard Street is known as one of the crookedest streets in America. It's a block long and has 8 hairpin curves. I thought the curvy arrow in the "Crazy Arrows" set would be perfect for this page. I coated the arrow with black stamp ink. The "Square Collage Panel" reminded me of a city street map, so I used that as a focal point of my page. I left it raw and backed some of the squares with various patterned papers.

The border dividing the top and bottom halves of my page is from the "Mixed Border Strips." I inked it with several shades to try to match my polka dot paper and then stamped it with a green ink pad using a tiny polka dot Kaiser Craft stamp for added texture. The "Enjoy Today Mini Title" title was colored with black stamp ink. The title may not look so "mini" on my page because I scrap 8 x 8, so it was a perfect size! I love how the circle from the "6-inch Circle Revolution" set can be laid right onto the photo to frame the beautiful faces. I painted this piece with white gesso.

"Just Adorable"

Meet Minnie Cupcake, my crazy sweet kitten who I discovered has Mickey Mouse ears on her nose (hence the name Minnie). As you can see, she is just adorable, so the 2Crafty title piece was my beginning point for layout.

I coated the "Just Adorable" title with two different colors of glitter. I used one of the chunkier pieces from the "Chevron Bits" and cut it in three separate pieces, coating them with white holographic glitter.

The "Polaroid Assortment Frames" are one of my favorite 2Crafty elements, and I decided to add a whole bunch of them on my layout to highlight these three sweet pictures of my kitty. I glued different patterned papers on top of them and filled some of them with papers.

The lovely "Fanciful Butterflies" are such a sweet adornment, and I coated them with more glitter. The "Love" word came from the "ATC Words 1" set. I used letter stickers to complete the sentiment and used a little chipboard heart from "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars," covered with patterned paper, as the O in the word you.

I created a video detailing my process for creating this layout. It's my very first video for
2Crafty and my first time creating a video with my voice narrating it!

Hi dear Debbi. Woo hoo! Your are so brave and so clever. I loved watching your process and hearing your accent. Like you, I never stick anything down until I'm sure and take hours to complete a layout. Gorgeous kitties and I like the frame treatment. TFS :D
