Stuck?! Sketches - November 1st Challenge Reveal

It's time for a new reveal at Stuck?! Sketches! Here's the fun sketch we got to play with:

I actually made two pages with this sketch. Here's the one in the reveal:

I made this page for my friend. They're big Baltimore Orioles fans, so I wanted to use the black and orange team colors and added a little blue to match the photos.

Here are some details. Please pardon the ugly cardboard in the background. I usually lay my page on white cardstock to photograph, but I had to photograph my pages at school, and I forgot to bring it. The baseball is a Silhouette cutfile. The background paper is by BasicGrey, as are the chipboard letters. That label is an ancient Scenic Route rub-on. The fun flair badges are by A Flair for Badges.

That "love this moment" is a clear sticker by Simple Stories. I have a ton of them and always forget to use them. I really like the way it looks. The "Today" piece is by Heidi Swapp, I think. It's really old--it's sort of like a post-it and I have a whole pad of them. That orange label is an old Fontwerks sticker.

I had that punched blue strip leftover from another layout sitting on my table and decided to tuck it into the layers. I love when I can use scraps like that! The bird is a Studio Calico Tweet and I tried to make him look like an oriole.

And here's my other page. I actually made this one first, and I didn't love the way it looks, even though I love the page, and I know my friend will love it too. Plus, I wasn't sure it would photograph well because of all the sparkle, so that's why I made that second page. I had a vision in my mind, and the vision just didn't transfer into reality.

My friend's little girl is such a character. I got the title for both of these pages from my friend's Facebook posts, where I snagged the pictures.

I remembered I had some patterned paper with a bokeh print, but it was too light, so I decided to make my own by googling bokeh images and found this image that matched the colors in the photos. I printed it on photo paper and used it for my background. You can't tell, but that pink paper is metallic paper, and there's also some glittery silver paper in the back. The music paper under the title has silver glitter sheet music, which doesn't show up well in the photograph.

The chalkboard stars and banners are from a MAMBI sticker pack. Those silver chipboard letters are ancient Thickers, and are way too big for 8 x 8 pages, but I think they went perfect here. I added a few sequins and a fun sparkly chipboard from another MAMBI pack, I think, and some fun phrase stickers.

This sketch is really fun, and I hope you will come play with us at Stuck?! Sketches. Plus, you may win a prize from our awesome sponsors:

The ScrapRoom is offering a $20.00 gift certificate to one lucky participant!

And The Kreative Korner is offering a $25.00 gift certificate to a second lucky participant!

Hi Debbie... I saw your Orioles layout over on FB, and felt compelled to find your blog and post a comment. I love this layout so much! The little details with the baseball and little Oriole bird really make it. Beautiful work!

They're both fabulous takes on that sketch...totally different. LOOOVE that little birdy in the bottom cluster on the top one. I rarely scrap with orange. I Really like it here....& that bokeh effect on the bottom one, works to perfection with your photo... stand out beautiful page!!!
