Play that Funky Music {CSI Major Case File No. 239}

We've got a unique and fun challenge running the whole month of October at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. Here's the page I made:

Here's the Case File. Clues I used: Evidence - solid background, thin stripes, floral pattern, flowers/leaves, music elements, flamingos, wood, circles, people accent; Testimony - summer pics, handwrite journaling, song title.

And some details. I replaced the circle in the sketch with a cut file by The Cut Shoppe. It gave me a perfect opportunity to bring in the colors of the palette and use music paper and a floral print, which met a couple of the clues, not to mention I got to use some scraps from very old papers. The flower stickers are from Echo Park's Just Be You collection, which has a lot of the colors from the palette. Those navy letter stickers are by BasicGrey.

I mixed pink acrylic paint with texture paste and used it with a Prima stencil for my background, which met the circles clue. I found a little wood people icon and stuck her in the chipboard word which is from Crate Paper's Poolside collection.

We had spent the day at Baltimore Inner Harbor visiting the National Aquarium and walking around the harbor. On our way back to the parking garage, we discovered these ginormous chimes and of course had to get a photo. Our musical talent is a little lacking, which explains the page title, LOL.

I hope you'll come play with us. The colors are lovely and are perfect for scrapping summer pictures that you didn't get a chance to scrap. Plus we've got lots of prizes up for grabs from our generous sponsors:
