My Happy Place {CSI Case File No. 285}

We've got a brand-new challenge open at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration, and I made this page for a friend:

Here is the Case File that inspired my page.

Here are the clues for this Case File. I used the colors from The Scheme. From the Evidence list, I used: dark background, wood, stripes, bookplates, numbers, metal, flowers, puffy stickers, text pattern, and fabric. I sort of used the Testimony clue of the topic of home as the theme of my page.

Here are some details. The blue background paper is some old BasicGrey. The text pattern in the background is by Echo Park. The wood veneer "Happy" is from Jillibean Soup. That cute house is from the Silhouette store. The bird is an Amy Tangerine stamp.

That strip with the numbers is from an old Echo Park paper. I thought it would be fun to highlight the 5 with the wood veneer chevron arrows to symbolize the five members of their family. The blue striped paper is by Authentique.

I was so happy to finally use this ginormous book plate that's been in my stash for eons. Ditto for that enormous yellow brad. I added a rub-on phrase to it. The fabric tab is an old 7Gypsies tab. The flowers are Vicki Boutin stamps.

This was a really fun challenge, and the colors are so striking together. You need to go check out how the rest of the design team and our guest designers from 2Crafty did with this Case File. I hope you'll play along for a chance to win some awesome prizes from our 6 sponsors this month:
