I never had a chance to post this, but I had so much fun making it, I wanted to make sure it landed on my blog. It was for CSI's October Cold Case. I love our stash-busting Cold Cases because it gives me the perfect excuse to use some really old stuff. Here's what I made.
Here are the Case File and clues:
Clues I used: I found some older papers with the colors, used older wood elements (the paper), create a scene on your page, Magic #4. And I was obviously inspired by the chickens in the Scene.
I looked through my stash and I had a chicken paper but the chickens just wouldn't do the trick for the page I had in mind so I went online in search of some chicken images and found these fun ones that I printed out, fussy cut and popped up on pop dots. I made my own chicken coop out of some really old Cosmo Cricket woodgrain paper.
I must confess I didn't think up the "poultry in motion" title. As I was looking for the chickens online I came across that fun pun and knew it had to be my sub-title. I used a mix of really old letters from my stash, including my never-ending supply of Heidi Swapp chipboard letters. That cloud paper is one I almost threw out a few years ago, but I'm such a packrat that I put it in my cloud paper folder, and I think the clouds go with the rustic feel of my layout. The buttons were my magic number 4 clue. I thought those little chicks were so cute and decided I'd add them to the title.
The word stickers are old Cosmo Cricket stickers that have a country theme and were perfect for this page.
