Love This {CSI Case File No. 82}

We have a happy, summery Case File this week at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration:

I took the opportunity to document another episode of Tracee and Debbi's Excellent Adventures. Tracee used the same pictures too. You can see hers here.

Clues I used... Evidence: stamps,  starbursts, doodling, cursive, funky scallops, stripes, wet medium, masking, string; Testimony: handwrite in cursive

My page got a little warped from the spray ink. I ironed it, but it got all curvy again. Sigh.

Here are some details. Here you can see lots of the details I used from the evidence. I drew my funky scallops on some old Ki Memories paper and cut them out. The pink and doodly flowers are also by Ki Memories. The green stripe paper is really old--from before they started putting the brands on the paper, the yellow polka dot paper is Jillibean Soup, and the pink and white stripe is Simple Stories. The brads are by My Mind's Eye.

I decided to try to go artsy on this page, which always freaks me out, but I think it turned out okay. I used a shimmery yellow mist with a cut-out sunburst from my Silhouette as a mask. The pink spots are stamp ink with a stamp that Tracee and I bought and cut in half to share (we took it off the wood block), and the green splotches were made with gelatos thinned with water that I smeared onto the page with some crumpled plastic. (I got that idea from when Tracee and I were experimenting with them during her visit this summer).

The letters are Thickers, placed on clouds cut out of a Bella Blvd. paper. I drew the little doodle-y hearts by hand. I hate the way my handwriting looks on scrapbook pages, but I decided to go for it. Unfortunately, the paper was bumpy and a little hard to write over all the stamping and mist and gelatos, but it was too late to change pens. Note to self: test the pen out on scrap paper next time.

So, I came across the flower paper when I was looking through my stash and thought they had a doodle-y feel. I used a gel pen to color in the centers, and it wasn't drying, so I added embossing powder and heat embossed it, so the centers are shiny in real life. You can also see that I used a starburst sort of stamp in several places, which I think is by My Mind's Eye.

This was a really fun page to make. You'll have to go check out what the rest of the team and guest designers made! And this is your last Case File to solve if you want a chance at winning this awesome prize from Frog Dog Studio or a gift certificate from Berry71Bleu or Flying Unicorn.
