Call of the Wild {CSI Case File No. 84}

We have a fantastic Case File open for investigation at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.

And I'm back with another installation of Tracee & Debbi's Excellent Adventures. You can see Tracee's Fantastic page here. Here's mine.

Clues I used...Evidence: Stripes, textured paper, fringe, pockets, twine, clock. Testimony: tell about a getaway, Inspiration Words--explore.

Here are some details. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the background, frames, and arrows. The flowers are old Prima flowers with Sassafras Lass brads, a fabric one and a fuzzy one, and the leaves are cut from an old SEI paper.

I wanted to add a little whimsy to my page because any day spent with Tracee is filled with fun and mischief. The little monkey is cut from a BasicGrey paper. I raided my stash of old papers in search of textured papers and rediscovered some mulberry and corrugated paper, as well as a faux animal print, which I snipped with scissors to make fringe. I thought the letters looked sort of like wood--they're by K&Co.

That wooden button is by Ki Memories. My journaling reads: It was at the top of Tracee's list of things to do, so we chose what was supposed to be the coolest day of this heat wave we called June 2013. Well, it turned out to be another day in the mid-90's. We explored the zoo for a couple of hours until we both thought we'd either melt or collapse from heat stroke and surrendered. It was a miserably hot day, but as always, Tracee and I had lots of fun and laughs on this short-lived adventure.

You must go take a peek at the wonderful creations by the design team and guest designers. We have 2Crafty sponsoring us this month, so you'll want to play for a chance at winning some of their awesome chipboard!
