Here's the Case File. Quite unusual colors, but I love the way they look together.
I'm making a book for my friend whose mom passed away last year. Clues I used...Evidence... bird, wet medium, stripes, metal accents, something iridescent, speech bubbles; Testimony: Journal in a speech bubble.
I started with a sketch from ScrapFriends. I totally messed up, and had to add those waves. I had those little tiles of patterned paper and thought I needed something else, so I added the colored texture paste with the stencil, and I put it too far down. And I'm such a miser that I didn't want to waste paper, so the waves were my remedy.
Here are some details: I cut the waves out with my Silhouette Cameo and outlined them. I spritzed them with Heidi Swapp mist, which is iridescent, as are the sequins I added. I added some little Studio Calico birdies that I love so much.
I'm in love with these Crate Paper slide frames. I wish there were more of the smaller ones in the pack.

I think this is a masterpiece. Really. What you thought was a mistake - made you make "repairs." And what you have is something incredible! I wish my mistakes turned out half as good! Fantastic job!
I loved your page! Beautiful!
Wow, this looks great. Nobody would know you 'messed up' here. Turned out a great idea in the end and I love the way it looks!!
I'm so sad for you about your cat. I know how much you love your animals....thinking of you......& I am so glad that you added in those waves, I think they TOTALLY make this page .....lovely page for your friend's album:):):)
Hi Debbi, I'm sorry about your cat. Great layout, love the wave. Hugs!
So sorry to hear about your kitty. I love the sketch you used and the stencil with the little cut out squares makes for a spectacular layout.
If only my mistakes looked as good!!! Love your style of mixed media, it looks wonderful to me. So sorry about your cat...it's difficult to deal with the death of a furry friend...they leave such a big hole in one's life :)
Debi,
Heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your feline fur baby. You blessed your kitty by providing a loving home and while this is a tender time, may you soon be able to smile through your tears as you remember special times together.
Deb
