I made another page for my mom's book for my stepdad who died in December. Clues I used...Evidence: wood, metal, map print (sort of--it's one of those topographical map prints), tags, leather, something clear, add something unexpected; Testimony: Scatter your story.
I used the current Kreative Koncepts sketch:
Here are a few closeups. I used lots of old stuff on my page, along with a few newer items. I've had these leather Making Memories flowers in my stash forever. The wood pieces are by Studio Calico, and the flair is by October Afternoon. My unexpected elements are the rub-on lock and the permission slip rub-on at the bottom. I used a couple of different stencils and ink, the circles are by The Crafter's Workshop and the plus signs are by Jenni Bowlin.
The numbers in the circles at the top are also rub-ons, from the same BasicGrey set. That transparent journaling card, by Maya Road, is also ancient. I cut the "buddies" with my Silhouette Cameo (oops I left the dot off the i). The word "golf" is made with old American Crafts rub-on letters. Papers I used are Studio Calico (the grid paper, topographical map, and clouds), My Mind's Eye (teal polka dot and green leafy pattern); BasicGrey (black stripe); Chatterbox (brown behind the picture); Mustard Moon (brown).
Journaling, on the back reads: I know you all were never big sports fans, but I appreciate how you humored me and my passion for sports. I remember how you all would let me show you how to swing a golf club, how Debbi went to that Orioles game and let me talk her through the game, and how you'd accompany me to the golf tournaments. It made me happy to be able to share this big piece of myself with you all, even if it was in just these little ways.

Lovely page Debbi. I always love to read your story.
Another beautiful page to add to the book of memories for your Mother. The sketch worked so well for this masculine page and combined perfectly with the CSI case file :D
Love, love your page, Debbi! Such a beautiful keepsake for your mom's album. I love that photo, and your journaling made me smile, and once again, way to rock the old stash goodies. Chatterbox...now there's a name I haven't heard in forever. You always make old stash look so fresh and new. Really love the "scene" you created here with the flowers and clouds. Extends the outdoor feel of the photo perfectly. And your "unexpected" rub-ons are just plain fun. :)
