Me and Teeny Tiny Shane {Case File No. 138}

Okay, so I'm behind again. I've been ordered to stay in bed with my leg elevated for the past two weeks, so there's a good excuse, right? Good news is that my doctor said I can go back to work on Monday.

So this is our most recent Case File (still open until Sunday) at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.

I made this page for my sister. That's the same little guy that's in the Two Face layout in the post below. I took the photo and the title from my sister's Facebook TBT post.

Clues I used...Evidence: wood/woodgrain, grid pattern, damask, envelope, ruler, tags, numbers, buttons, paint, loops, stars; Testimony: Tuck story into envelope.

Here are some details. I have so many packages of Heidi Swapp chipboard letters. I use them any chance I get. I bought scads of them at a time when they were pretty much the only chipboard letters you could buy--this was pre-Thickers era. I used lots of odds and ends on here. chipboard button by Prima, Brad by Teresa Collins, labels by Jenni Bowlin, epoxy sticker by Making Memories, wood veneer elements by Studio Calico.

I tucked a little journaling card into the glassine envelope so my sister could write some reflections, and used some eyelets and twine to close the envelope.  I tucked a bit of cheesecloth between the layers. The blue chipboard letters are also Heidi Swapp.

All my papers I used were scraps (except for the background paper). Papers I used are My  Mind's Eye (background paper); Foofala (teal damask); Cosmo Cricket (salmon paper), Chatterbox (blue polka dot); Echo Park (ruler, tag). In the background, I used white acrylic paint, a chevron studio calico stencil with stamp ink, grid stamp by Kaiser Craft, a roller stamp by American Crafts (picture perfect), and splatters of mist in a bunch of different colors.

So that bit on the left wasn't initially supposed to be there, but I goofed when I cut my paper. I kept looking at it and it didn't seem right--I had trimmed it 7 x 8!

You should go check out the awesome work by our team and guest designers, and if you have some time this weekend to play, you have a chance of winning this awesome prize form our sponsor Flying Unicorn:

Lovely page Debbi...and I don't think you made a mistake in cutting your page too small. It looks perfect with that added to the side.
