Glamour Girl {Stuck?! Sketches November 1 Challenge}

Here's the page I made for our current challenge at Stuck?! Sketches:

And this is the awesome sketch Laura made for us. I flipped it horizontally, and of course it looks a little different because I scrap 8 x 8.

Here are some details. I knew I wanted to use some pinks, and I found this really old striped paper by Cristina Cole (I'm talking ancient here), and that was my starting point. I found various papers to match the colors in my stash, and the flowers were cut from a Dear Lizzy paper. The black frame is by K& Co., and the pink frame over the center picture is cut from a Maggie Holmes paper. That little lip gloss thing is something I found online and printed on photo paper.

I cut the title out on my Silhouette Cameo using a font called Christmas Card Script that I bought from Silhouette. The pink alphas are, of course, by BasicGrey. The lipstick accent is another image I found online and printed on photo paper. I thought rhinestones would be perfect for this girly page. And I had to use that yellow chipboard warning arrow because it made me laugh! The journaling came from my friend's facebook page--I grabbed these pictures of her little girl from there to make her this page.

And of course I had to get a little messy with some watercolors, using the packaging technique. I haven't used this border punch in a while, but I thought it looked fun and playful down at the bottom. I found that pretty fabric brad in just the right colors to match my papers and the chipboard phrase, from Pink Paislee's Oh My Heart collection was the perfect find to finish off my page.
