On the Naughty List {CSI Case File No. 222}

We have a beautiful new, wintry Case File open for investigation at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration:

Here's my page. Clues I used...Evidence: floral patterns, chevrons, snowflakes, jewels, pearls, something fuzzy, fabric, flowers, leaves, glitter; Testimony: Haiku.

I used this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. They're having a guest designer call, so I thought I'd give it a go:

And some details. That blingy snowflake frame is by Making Memories. I've had it in my stash for ages. I was trying to carefully place it in just the right spot, when a tiny bit of it hit the paper crooked and there it had to stick--it wanted to rip my paper when I tried to lift it back up to make it straight. Sigh. The fabric brad is by K&Co. I've had that in my stash for a million years too. The "Naughty" was cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

So, I have this little devil of a cat who likes to knock everything down. We didn't put up our trees this year again because she's such a bad kitty. We decided we'd try to just put up a tree without decorations to see what she'd do, and sure enough, she got right under that tree and started batting it and knocking the flocking off. Hence the haiku I wrote. That snowflake brad is by Making Memories. The label had a picture in the center of it, so I just typed some journaling onto cardstock and punched a circle and hid the picture.

Here you can see in the picture how she knocked the flocking off the tree. Bad Minnie-Cupcake! The snowflake is by Jolee's. The glittery poinsettia flower was in a pack I found on the bargain table at ACMoore. And there's another brad from the same Making Memories pack as the other brad in the above photo. I dangled it with some silver thread. The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. And you can see I tucked a fuzzy black brad in that cluster for my fuzzy clue.

I hope you'll come play with our challenge. Come see what the rest of the team made here. And of course, we have lots of prizes from our sponsors:

Love You to the Moon and Back {Stuck?! Sketches Mid-January DT Work}

It's time for another fantastic sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. Take a look at the awesome sketch Laura made for us:

I made another page for one of my students:

Here are some details. I substituted one of the photos in the sketch with a cut-out from a Cosmo Cricket paper. How cute is that little robot sticker? I got it in a clearance bin at one of the craft stores. That blue paper in the background is by Little Yellow Bicycle. The lighter blue is by BasicGrey, and that strip of red at the top is super-old. It's by Autumn Leaves.

I cut the planet out on my Silhouette Cameo. The chipboard stars are by 2Crafty. That little yellow number thingy is cut from an old Scenic Route paper. The grid stamp in the background is by Kaisercraft.

Here's another piece from that Robot clearance pack. So adorable! I cut the title out on my Cameo. The planet in the background was created by cutting a large circle on my Cameo, taping it over top of my white cardstock, and then applying texture paste with a Prima stencil. Then I removed the paper with the cut-out circle.

Come check out what the rest of the design team made--seriously awesome stuff, and you'll want to play for a chance to win prizes from our sponsors this month:

Sweet {CSI Major Case File No. 221}

Happy Birthday, CSI! I can't believe it's been five years since I started CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration! We are celebrating this month with some special surprises, including lots of prizes and many of our retired Detectives putting their badges back on for the month! And of course, we've got a super-fun and festive Case File:

Here's the page I created. It's another page for one of my students that I'm creating. Clues I used...Evidence: I used all of the evidence clues! Testimony: Inspiration Word: sweet.

Some details...I cut my journaling out on my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with some Simple Stories multicolored paper. That sweet little bunting is by Kaisercraft, and I just added some multicolored alpha stickers for one of the clues.

Animals weren't a clue, but I wanted my page to have a bit of childlike whimsy. That little bunny was cut out of a BasicGrey paper, and I added some googly eyes (one of the clues). The chipboard pieces are by Pink Paislee and satisfied the fruit and triangle clues. I've got several puffy stickers on my page (that was a clue too)--that little sugar cube on the triangle made me smile (plus it was a food clue), and the speech bubble puffy sticker by Skipping 5. I tucked in some leaves cut from patterned paper (another clue).

The "photo" and arrow puffy stickers are by Evalicisious. I've got a little jar cut from a Dear Lizzy paper (for the cooking/kitchen clue) with a little pink flower charm tied on for some extra pink.

And ow adorable is this sweet little dimensional frog sticker? I had to stick him on here, even though he has a yellow belly.

Come play with us for a chance to win a prize from one of our many fantastic sponsors!

Here's my page--another layout I made for one of my students. I'm really having fun creating these pages!

Here are some details. Most of the papers and chipboard are from the Simple Stories Posh collection. That pretty fabric star is from one of our sponsors this month, Charms Creations.  The gold striped frame is by Heidi Swapp.

That pink "lovely" card came in the package sent to me by Charms Creations, and I used that in place of the second photo in the sketch. Hos sweet is that little bird?

Here's another piece from Charms Creations in the top cluster. Such lovely dimension and texture!

Stuck?! Sketches has two sponsors this month:
