You Make Today Count | Bramble Fox

I'm making a layout to give to each of my students. Here's one I recently created, for Bramble Fox using a title piece from the March Fox Box:

Here are some details. How awesome is that title? And that awesome cut file is a free cut file by Paper Issues called Right on Target.

I used Kaisercraft's Oh Happy Day, which is a birthday collection, but I think the patterns and embellishments are suitable for just about any theme. I used some Bramble Fox star Perspextives that matched the colors of the papers.

I had to disguise my students, and I superimposed my nephew's face on top. :)

I love working with the Perspextives. They're such a unique embellishment. I encourage you to give them a try, and subscribing to the Fox Box is a great way to do this. There are 3 packs of Perspextives plus an exclusive design available only in the Fox Box. Subscribers receive 15% discount on any other products in the shop.

Make Great Memories - Bramble Fox

The August Fox Box from Bramble Fox is full of awesome embellishments for travel-themed pages. I used one of the pieces to create this page of my friend's darling kids at the creek.

Here are all the bits from the August Fox Box:

I used the Hide and Seek collection by Kaisercraft for this layout. Such a fun collection with sweet woodland creatures.

How sweet are those little bears? And how awesome is that cut file? It's totally FREE from Paper Issues, called Rings of Life Family Tree.

I added a sweet little Bramble heart Perspextive to the upper cluster. If you look through the Perspextives, you'll see several sets that have the little hearts. They're just perfect for adding a little extra!

Thankful {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday Challenge}

I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today. Here's my post:

Hey, Paper Issues Friends! I'm here to share my layout for this week's Scraplift Sunday challenge. I used the gorgeous Blessed collection by Kaisercraft.

Here's Jen's amazing layout that I got to lift.

 I just loved the whole vertical composition of Jen's page, and I thought of using washi tape or branding strips or just scraps from my scrap drawers. But when I looked even closer at Jen's page and saw those accordion folded pieces, I was completely smitten and knew I had to pretty much lift her entire design.

In addition to the paper collection, I also used the diecut ephemera pieces. This page is for a student--I'm making each of them a page to keep--and I wanted to sneak in something cutesy, and I found that little pink kitty puffy sticker in my stash.

I hope you'll come play with us. Jen's page gives so many options. Make sure you share your creation with us in the Facebook group by March 31 for a chance to win a gift certificate to the shop.

There are still lots of elements from this gorgeous collection in the store, as well as lots of other awesome new stuff. Use my code Debbi (no e on the end), and you'll get 20% off your entire purchase!

Escape {CSI Case File No. 263 + PageMaps Collaboration}

October means fall, even though it's almost 90 degrees here, so I picked an autumn image for our challenge at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration this month. And we're super-excited to be collaborating with PageMaps this month! Here's the page I created:

And here's our Case File:

And here's the PageMaps sketch Becky sent me:

Here are some details. I was inspired by the earthy colors and textures in the Case File, so combed through my 6 x 6 pads to find one that had an earthy feel, and found a couple that would do the trick--Fancy Pants Golden Days and Jen Hadfield Warm & Cozy. Next, I tried to use as many of the traditional Evidence clues as possible--I managed to use woodgrain paper, leaves, wood veneer, twine, frames, birds and other animals, something woven, and distressing.

The little critters came from KaiserCraft's Hide & Seek Collection. The chipboard piece is by 2Crafty. I'm so lucky to have so many of their wonderful chipboard left from when I was on their design team.

The leaves are cut from an old Scenic Route Paper. I've hoarded that leaf paper and used it sparingly over the years. I'll be so sad when i use it up!

Please come play with us! You just might win a prize from one of our dozen generous sponsors.

Big World, Little Explorer {Paper Issues Scraplfit Sunday Challenge}

I made another page or another Scraplift Sunday challenge at Paper Issues.

Here's Rachel's awesome layout we had to scraplift:

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling

Here are some details. I'm not a huge fan of brown, but I felt like brown was needed to make the other elements show up. I found this very old Sassafrass Lass paper in my stash. The felt letters are also really old thickers. Most everything else on my page is from Kaisercraft's new Hide & Seek collection.

I elevated most of the die cuts with pop dots. That quote sticker on the deer is really old, by 7gypsies, as is the brown chipboard frame, by Making Memories.

Wood veneer was the perfect thing to go with this woodsy collection. I'm adding a heart somewhere on each page I make for this little guy to find.

I hope you'll play along. Be sure to post your creation by August 5 in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook page for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

And speaking of the Paper Issues store, check out all of their cool scrappy stuff (and check back often because Cassie is always adding new product), and if you use my code, Debbi (no e on the end), you can get 20% off your entire order!
