Wonder | Paper Issues Keep It Sketchy Challenge.

I made this layout for the June 1 sketch over at Paper Issues.

Here's the sketch. I stayed pretty true to it.

In looking for papers to go with my friend's daughter's dress, I came across the pink cloud paper from Shimelle's Never Grow Up collection, and decided I had to use that. The butterflies were cut out of one of the papers from this collection. The green strips were scraps from some old papers by Sassafras Lass and Prima. I rescued these pretty word stickers by K&Co that were perfect with the colors.

The title is also from this collection. That flowery trim is old Doodlebug Frills. I love to mix older and newer stash. And of course I used some Nuvo Drops. The fuchsia trim at the bottom is some leftover scraps from an old Ki Memories diecut paper that I came across in my scraps drawer when I was looking for some other pink paper. 

I found these fuchsia flowers in my stash that were perfect, and I trimmed them with some leaves cut from a Shimelle paper from the collection.

You Rock | Paper Issues Spring Crop - You Lift Me Up Challenge

Hey, scrappy friends! I hope you come join our Spring Crop at Paper Issues for all the fun challenge we have going on this weekend. We've got a musical theme, and all of our challenges are named after a song. Here's the challenge I created and the page I made.

I made another page for one of my students. I'm making them to give as gifts to each of my 29 kids.

Here's the layout to lift for this challenge:

Here are some details. I used the awesome filmstrip from the Life in Pictures FREE cut file from Paper Issues. Since I only had one photo, I used elements fussy cut from a paper from the Field Trip collection by Shimelle to fill the frames.

I dug through my frame drawers and found two old frames that matched the colors. The teal one is by Crate Paper and the green one is by Making Memories. The word stickers are also old, from my stash.

I was re-arranging some supplies the other day and came across these large raw chipboard letters I've had FOREVER. I think I haven't used them because they're so big for my 8 x 8 pages, but I took them out of the drawer, and I've decided I'm going to try to use them up as fast as I can, so you'll be seeing them on some more layouts in the near future. I coated them with black embossing powder. And of course the O's are always perfect for adding something to the center.

I mounted the fussy-cut elements with pop dots to give my layout added dimension, and of course I couldn't resist adding googly eyes to the robots and dinosaur.

Pajama Day | Paper Issues Keep It Sketchy

I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today! Here's my post:

Hey, everybody! I'm sharing a layout I made for this month's sketch.

And here's this month's awesome sketch I used. I pretty much followed it to a T.

I used Shimelle's Field Trip collection, which was perfect to go with my grand niece's dinosaur pajamas. I cut the dinosaurs and books out of a patterned paper and added the word stickers to each little cluster.

I fussy cut the stars out of the same paper the dinosaurs and books were on and sprinkled them about, along with some enamel dots to match the colors. It's amazing how much those little dots add to a layout!

Gotta love those Florence alphas by Bella Blvd! I snagged them in most of the colors when they were in stock.
