Autumn Glory | Bramble Fox

Yesterday I was up on the Bramble Fox blog. Here's my post.

Hey, Bramble Fox fans! Today I'm sharing a lovely autumn layout featuring the beautiful Autumn Glory pack, which comes with this beautiful title and a handful of leaves in different colors. Read on to see what other Bramble Fox products I used on my page. Please note that since I scrap 8 x 8, the products will look a bit larger on my layouts.

I started off my page by adding color to the background using the gorgeous Fox Cut Stencil #50 | Skinny Chevron and three colors of Distress Inks, applied with blending brushes. How beautiful is the script font and leafy detail on the Autumn Glory title piece?

I chose pinks and golds from the Harvest Market collection by Simple Stories to coordinate with my photos. I tore three patterned papers and rolled the edges, adding water to the edges, a tip I got from Julie Taylor. I found a pretty trim in my stash that matched the greenish leaves. The phrases are from Paper Snips 011 | Autumn. The shiny circular flairs were created with the Paper Snips and Epoxy Stickers.

Behind the photos, to add a little extra texture, I added a mesh chain-link fence from Fox Dies #4 | Barbed Wire.

Finally, I added a cluster to the bottom left using some torn paper, a Harvest Market sticker, elements from the Paper Snips, and a sweet heart Perspextive from the Warm Hearts Pack, and a couple of leaves from the Autumn Glory pack. How cute is that fox Epoxy flair from the Autumn Paper Snips, and the envelop with all the pretty florals, also from the same Paper Snips.

There are so many beautiful pieces to adorn your page in the Autumn Collection. Be sure to grab some if you haven't yet had a chance! And please me sure you tag us on Instagram and share your creations with us in the Bramble Fox Facebook Group.

Until Next time, have fun scrapping!

Thankful | CSI Case File No. 399

I made this layout for our second November challenge at CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.

Here are the Case File and clues. I was really inspired by the black buffalo plaid, the brick wall and all the pumpkins and leaves in The Scene. I also used the diagonal for the composition of my page.

I used the basic color scheme and used the inspiration word grateful (only I used a synonym, LOL), and I managed to cram every clue on my 8 x 8 page!

Here are some details. I had this beautiful acrylic title from Bramble Fox that sort of matched that first color in the Case File palette. I layered up the photo with some mesh and textured paper and some papers that matched the palette. I found those two fabric tabs from Scrapworks that have been sitting in my stash for eons.

Labels were a clue, and I found an orange one to cut in half and tuck behind my photos. Since gold was a clue, I added a gold paper clip. That cute acrylic owl is also from Bramble Fox.

One of the clues was bricks and I used a stencil by Bramble Fox, along with some stamp ink and a blending brush and then outlined the bricks to create my background. Plaid was also a clue. Some gold dots from Pinkfresh Studio also met the gold clue. You can't tell in the picture but that arrow is gold-foiled. Pins were another clue, and I found these wood-topped stick pins by Little Yellow Bicycle in my stash. I added an acrylic heart from Bramble Fox because I always add at least one heart to my pages I give away.  The pumpkins were another clue. They're fussy-cut from a Mintay Golden Days paper.

That wagon wheel was also fussy cut from a paper in the Mintay collection and serves as a circular element from the clues. How awesome that I had those plaid flowers with little gold beads in the center? Flowers were a clue too.

For the something transparent clue, I punched out leaves from two colors of vellum to give them a lovely sheer look. I used a stylus to draw veins in them and give them more dimension. I stuck a third pin in the wood barrel bucket that I fussy cut from a Mintay paper.

That was a LOT of clues, but I think they really worked well with this photo. I hope you'll come play with us for a chance to win a gift certificate or a guest designer spot!

Autumn Glory | Bramble Fox

It was my turn on the Bramble Fox blog the other day. Here's my post:

Fall is finally here in Maryland with all the glorious colors painting the trees. Have you seen all the gorgeous new autumn-themed Perspextives in the shop? I used the Oak Leaves and Acorns and a sweet little squirrel from the Cute Critters Pack, as well as several other products from the Bramble Fox shop. Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products will appear larger on my pages than they do on 12 x 12 pages.

I started out my layout by adding hearts to my background with texture paste and the Fox Cut #4 stencil. Then I added some watercolor and splatters of gold mist. I outlined some of the hearts with a fine-tipped pen for some definition. Here you can see the gorgeousness of those oak leaves. I just love the shimmery champagne gold and the translucent frosted brown. They really add an elegant wow factor to your layouts!

I used the Torn Edger tool to get a perfectly imperfect edge on my gingham paper. Have you seen that Bramble Fox is now making dies? I just love them so much--lots of beautiful, versatile designs, and the packaging is genius with a magnetic sheet inside to securely hold and display the metal dies. The chain-link bit behind the photo, which I cut in half length-wise to use behind my border is from the Fox Dies #4 set.

The die-cut leaves are also from the Fox Dies #4 pack.

Finally, here you can see a close-up of that darling translucent squirrel and the beautiful etching on the acorn and another shot of that breathtaking shimmery champagne gold leaf! Speaking of etching and beautiful autumn Perspextives, you must check out the Autumn Leaves set, which I used on my first October project. Oh, and wait until you see what Bramble Fox has coming next month. The etched details are just stunning!

Autumn is my favorite season, with the glorious fiery, golden colors painting the earth, and what more perfect products could there be to decorate your autumn pages than these beautiful Bramble Fox Perspextives? I can't wait to see how you use them. Please tag Bramble Fox on Instagram and also share your creations with us on our Bramble Fox Friends Facebook page. Until next month...

Beautiful Fall | Bramble Fox

Bramble Fox has some beautiful new Perspextives for autumn, and I used some of them to create this page:

Here are some details. This beautiful, shimmery title is from the October Fox Box, and the acrylic leaf is from the Autumn Leaves pack, which comes with beautiful champagne gold, frosted pink and frosted brown pieces. I just love the etched details.

Here are some more pieces. I used Simple Stories Cozy Days for my layout.

Recently, Bramble Fox started making metal dies. The brown bit behind the photos is from the Fox Dies #4 set.

You can see the beautiful shimmer on the title piece in the photo below.

I highly recommend the Fox Box subscription. You get three packs of Perspextives, which gives you a nice assortment of pieces to work with, as well as an exclusive design only available in the Fox Box. Plus you get a discount on everything in the shop. You are not going to want to miss the November Fox Box! Here's a peek:
