Real Life Friends {Case File No. 63}

Oh, my goodness. We're about to open a new Case File tonight, and I never posted my layout from last week. Busy, busy week with report cards and all...

Anyway, here's our Case File from last Friday:

Last summer, Adrienne Ford, who's on my design team at CSI, was visiting her mom, who lives not too far from me, and I was so happy that she came so we could meet. We snapped a picture, and we vowed we were going to scrap the picture for the same Case File. Well, we finally did, and here's my page.

Clues I used...Evidence: ribbon, flowers, pearls, jewels, tape measure, stripes, mesh/chicken wire, metal, lace, tags, sewing, numbers dress form; Testimony: Document a hobby, journal on a tag.

I used a sketch from Sketchbook365:

Here are some details. The dress form was cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I was originally planning to do my journaling on that jar, but in the end, I ran out of space, as I often do on my 8 x 8 pages.

The background paper is an old Bohemia paper by My Mind's Eye (the B side). I went a little crazy with the background and wished, in the end, I had left it plain because I just can't do backgrounds, but once I got started, it was hard to stop. I used two templates by The Crafter's Workshop, one with sage ink and another with gold.

The brown chicken wire was also cut with the Silhouette. The dangly jewels are form an old necklace that broke. My layout's upstairs, so I'll summarize my journaling... It basically talks about how I love this hobby that has allowed me to connect with scrappers all over the world and in rare, sweet instances I get to meet these friends in real life. I talked about how Adrienne and I shared a cup of tea and spent time in my scrap room just chatting, and how it seemed like we were old friends...she was so warm and friendly, and how I hoped that we'd be friends for a long time.

I used an plain polaroid frame from Silhouette and added my own text for the frame. I used real lace and a lace sticker (from BasicGrey. In looking for something with numbers, I found this bingo brad, whihc was perfect.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and reading about my page!
