Beautiful Fall | Bramble Fox

Bramble Fox has some beautiful new Perspextives for autumn, and I used some of them to create this page:

Here are some details. This beautiful, shimmery title is from the October Fox Box, and the acrylic leaf is from the Autumn Leaves pack, which comes with beautiful champagne gold, frosted pink and frosted brown pieces. I just love the etched details.

Recently, Bramble Fox started making metal dies. The brown bit behind the photos is from the Fox Dies #4 set.

Collect Memories (and Berries) | Bramble Fox

I've been so busy with the start of school that I'm behind with sharing my layouts on my blog. Here's a layout I made for Bramble Fox last month.

I thought the "Collect Memories" Perspextive was just perfect for this picture of my friend's kids on their way to pick blueberries. I added a heart Perspextive because I always add hearts to the pages I give away.

I found the bucket cut file at the Silhouette store. I thought Simple Stories Farmhouse had the perfect vibe I was going for. I filled the bucket with fussy cut flowers and some die-cut leaves. I stuck a sweet little translucent red heart in there with the flowers. The clouds are Bramble Fox pieces too. 

After choosing my papers and elements, but before adhering them, I decided I'd do some mixed media. I used texture paste and a stencil and then added some watercolors after that dried. Then I assembled my page. At the end, I added navy blue enamel dots to symbolize the blueberries they were collecting. The sun is also a Bramble Fox Perspextive. 

She Speaks Unicorn | Paper Issues This or That Challenge

I love all the challenges we have at Paper Issues. Here's my latest page I made, for the This or That challenge.

The way This or That works is you pick one thing or the other from the two columns. 

Here are some details. I used Simple Stories Dream Big collection. I saw my friend's daughter's shirt in this picture and knew I had to use the unicorn from this collection. I realized after the fact that I shouldn't have used that sticker on the unicorn because it has hearts, and I had chosen stars. Oops! I was going to try to make a pinwheel for this layout, but then I saw that flag on the sticker sheet and had to use it. How fun is that chipboard banner?

I used some old BasicGrey letters. I think I have every set ever made, which means I have every color of the rainbow! I love the way the pop dots lift up the stars.

I was happy to see washi tape as an option because I have so darn much washi tape, and I always forget to use it!

Sunshine in My Soul {CSI Case File No. 286 + Paper Issues Free File Free-for-All Challenge}}

Our mid-month reveal is live over at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration, and it's a perfect one for summer! I combined CSI's challenge with Paper Issues' Free File Free-for-All challenge.

Here's the free cut file from Paper Issues that I used, called Sunshine in my Soul:

Here are the CSI Case File and Clues. Evidence clues I used: stripes, flowers, sun, flamingos, wet medium, sunglasses, camera, vellum, and summer accents; Testimony: Document summer vacation. I basically used the color scheme but used a different shade of blue.

Here are some details. I primarily used Simple Stories' Sunshine and Blue Skies collection. I added some torn pink vellum under the stripes for an added layer.

How adorable are these kids? I used some pink and blue watercolor in the background for the wet medium clue, and I found a fun sunglasses puffy sticker in my stash.

That flamingo puffy sticker was on the same sheet as the sunglasses. I added a brad to the camera for a bit more dimension.

Snow Much Fun {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday}

I had a two-hour delay yesterday and managed to get a layout started and then finished it up last night. Scraplifting is a great way to get layouts done quickly. It usually takes me a whole entire Saturday to make a layout. Every Sunday, Paper Issues presents a new layout for the Scraplift Sunday challenge. Here's what I created:

Here's Angie's awesome layout I scraplifted. Since I scrap 8 x 8, I didn't have as much room to put as many fun details as Angie included on her layout.

Here are some details. I used Simple Stories Freezin' Season. I'm making pages for a friend, and the journaling came from my friend's Instagram caption.

The journaling cards are always too big for my 8 x 8 pages, so I often have to cut them down. Since I was doing all this layering of patterned papers, I thought of using one of the cards, but the bear was going to be covered up, so I cut his face with an exacto knife and overlapped him onto the photo. I did the same with the journaling card on the left.

I found some tiny snowflake stamps in my stash.

Bundle Up! {Scrappy Friends Sketch Challenge + Paper Issues Take 5 Challenge}

I've been dying to use the new Simple Stories Freezin' Season collection by  I got from Paper Issues, and I found the perfect photo of my friend's son to use this cute collection.

I played along over at Rochelle's Scrappy Friends challenge with this awesome sketch: 

I also played along with the Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. I actually used 8 things from the list: a banner, snowflakes, stripes, a cut file, stickers, fussy cutting, patterned paper, and a label.

Here are some details. I only had one photo, so I decided to use this cute penguin, cut from one of the cut-apart cards in the collection, inside a frame to substitute for the second picture. The little houses were cut from a patterned paper.

I used a snowflake in place of the circle in the sketch. This is a free cut file from Paper Issues called Circles and Snowflakes.

I elevated some of the elements with pop dots for added dimension.

I love these little banners I got at Michael's. I wish they had other colors besides black. They're by Recollections.

Fall Family Fun {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday}

I made another page this weekend, this time for Paper Issues' Scraplift Sunday challenge. Here's what I created:

Here's the gorgeous layout I scraplifted, by Lisa Swift. She has such a knack for embellishing!

Here are some details. I used Simple Stories Forever Fall collection, plus a few odds and ends from my stash. I was delighted to use a photo turn on this layout. Thanks, Lisa, for the idea--I had forgotten all about the millions of photo turns  have.

I cut the acorns out of a Forever Fall patterned paper. When I was digging out the photo turn came across this sweet metal washer, a really old relic from Making Memories.

I thought the little bow on Lisa's frame was such a sweet detail, and I was glad to find a bow in my stash that matched my layout colors.
