Daily Truth {CSI Case File No. 165}

We opened a lovely new Case File for investigation at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration last night:

Here's my page. Clues I used: Evidence: stripes, dots, ledger paper, woodgrain (stamp), tags, polaroid frames, bookplates, labels, pen work, vinyl, pins, frames, envelopes, ribbons, lightbulbs; Testimony: inspiration word: daily, journal on tags.

Here are some details. I wanted to take a picture of the current page I'm reading in my bible, but I couldn't get a good photo, so I snagged one from the internet. The vinyl letters are by American Crafts and the small letters (truth) are by Jenni Bowlin. The notebook border was cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I wa so happy to rescue one of my gazillions of bookplates that I've had for eons!

For my lightbulb clue, I found this one by Ingvild Bolme in my stash. The polaroid frames are by K&Co. That little doily is cut from a die by Die-namics. How I love that gray paper by SEI. I'll be so sad when I'm out of it. The woodplank stamp is by Kaisercraft and the text stamp is from Impression Obsession. I added a bit of an old label by Fontwerks.

I used watercolors and gelatos on the background. That butterfly is really old, by Jenni Bowlin--it was the perfect pink.

I tucked my journaling into a paper bag, which is sort of an envelope for the clue. The "Love Story" ribbon tab is by Making Memories.

My journaling reads:

Reading my study Bible every morning while I drink my tea is now a daily ritual. This amazing book, is both an instruction manual for life and a love story--God's love for his children. How lucky we are that God's word has been preserved for thousands of years, despite evildoers trying to destroy it throughout history. I'm on my first read through this book. It blows me away how God speaks to me through his word. Whatever issue I'm dealing with, his words seem to be speaking directly to me. Thank you, Father, for giving this gift to us.
