Nom Nom Nom | Bramble Fox

It was my turn to make a layout for Bramble Fox and share on Instagram the other day.

Here are some details. My husband and I have this ritual we call the Alphabet Adventure, where we go out for lunch after church, following the alphabet. One week, we go to a restaurant that starts with the letter A, the next week, the letter B, and so on. We've been through the alphabet 4 times and discovered so many fantastic restaurants in our city is quite a food mecca. When I received this fabulous Nom Nom Nom piece in my February DT package, I thought it would be fun to document one of our favorite spots. I decided to go with a black background to really make the Perspextives stand out.

Seriously, how fun is the tiny cutlery that comes with this set? I used Pebbles' This Is Family collection on my page. I just love the speech bubbles that I cut out of one of the papers. The phrases on the strips are from a stamp set I got from Citrus Twist a while back. I absolutely love the "get in my belly! stamp, and I use it every chance I get!

I had my layout all complete and my friend Tracee suggested a little restaurant sign or something in this corner, and it was the perfect finishing touch. I used some dies and twine to make the sign.

Love You | Bramble Fox

Here are some details. I love the bold red Perspextives. The "love" title piece was actually in the November Fox Box. There are so many goodies in the Fox Boxes that I always have leftovers for more layouts later. I used some old BasicGrey letters to complete the title.

How sweet are these little pieces? If you didn't get a chance to score the February Fox box, you can still get these Tokens of Love, and they come in different colors too!

How wonderful is that frame? It also came in the February Fox Box. I used the Loves Me collection by Pebbles for my page. I fussy cut all those flowers from one of the papers.

Celebrate Freedom {CSI Case File No. 258}

Our mid-month challenge at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration is just perfect for beach-inspired pages, like the page I already shared in the post below, but it's also perfect for all those 4th of July photos you might've taken. Because of the color scheme, I just had to make a second page to scrap a photo from this year's 4th of July celebration.

Here's the Case File. I drew inspiration from the colors and the stripes.

I also played along in the Keep it Sketchy challenge at Paper Issues.

Here are some details. I used papers from Echo Park's Celebrate America collection and Pebbles' Land That I Love collection. I fussy cut the jar of flowers from one of the Echo Park papers. You can sort of see that the big letters I used for my title are shiny silver, not black, as they appear in the photograph of my layout. It's so frustrating to photographic metallic elements!

Here are some more things I fussy cut from some of the papers. That blue paper perfectly matches the color of the jar, though for some reason it doesn't look like that in the photograph. It's really old textured paper. the "4th of July" is a free cut file from Paper Issues. They have so many awesome free files. So generous!

The word Freedom and the label it sits on are both cut files form the Silhouette store, and the fireworks and stars are cut from papers from the Echo Park collection.

You're Just My Cup of Tea

I had the chance to make another page just for the fun of it (not that DT work isn't fun because it totally is). I've been adding layouts to my gallery over at A Cherry on Top and I saw that they have a whole bunch of challenges going on over there, so I played in one called The Spelling Challenge, in which we had to use stuff on our page using the letters in the word SPRING. Here's what I came up with--it's another page for one of my students.

I hate the way gold photographs. The letters look black, but they're a lovely, shiny gold as you can see in the closeups. Anyway, here's how I solved that spelling challenge:

S - Student, stickers,
P - pink, posies, Pebbles brand papers, pop dots
R - rhinestones
I - Ink
N - Noted paper (that's the title of that pink background paper)
G - gold letters, glittery accents,  green, Garden Party collection (the stripe and the darker pink),

Here are some details. As I said, the paper in the background is a My Mind's Eye Paper from the Cut and Paste collection called Noted. The teacups are clear stickers from Pebble's Tealightful collection. I stuck them onto white paper and mounted them on pop dots. The butterfly and flowers are from the same sticker sheet.

How cute is that little bunny in the teacup? I had originally planned to design the page with just the two photos and clusters in the corner, but then my title spread out so much because I scrap 8 x 8 that it filled up the lower left side. I was then left with a big empty space in the top quadrant, so I thought, why not have a teapot pouring into the teacup. But then that teapot was just sort of floating there. That's when I noticed these two cloud stickers in the set and I thought, "Well, if a teapot is floating, it must be in the clouds." Makes perfect sense to me.

And one more closeup of some stacked teacups. Such cute stickers. Wish they would've been cardstock stickers instead of clear stickers. Oh well--I made them into cardstock stickers with a little fussy cutting.
