Sci-Fi Guys {Scrap Around The World/2Crafty)

Check out this awesome March moodboard from Scrap Around the World:

2Crafty is sponsoring Scrap Around the World, and the 2Crafty design team was invited to play. Here's my page. I took lots of different inspiration from the Moodboard. The color scheme is the first obvious one. That sunshine image inspired the yellow paper I used as well as the misted stencil in the background.  The robot image inspired my use of cogs, spaceships, aliens, background paper, and  the stamping. The last image, I obviously mimicked with chevrons.

Here are some details. How awesome are the 2Crafty chipboard cogs? And how fun are those little aliens from an old Crate Paper sheet in my stash.

The chipboard letters and chevrons are also from  2Crafty. That blue stamp in the background is by BoBunny. My background paper is BasicGrey. That game spinner thingy was cut from an Echo Park paper. Of course the letter stickers are old BasicGrey. I think I have every single set they made, so I can always go to them when I need to match a color. They're a classic. Love the font.

The speech bubbles are from a Daily Flash paper by October Afternoon. How perfect were the spaceships for this mood board? They're from the ancient BasicGrey Oh Baby Boy collection. I love it when I can use old stuff!
