And here's the fabulous sketch Laura made for us, perfect for using up scraps:
Here are some details. I started out by choosing a bunch of papers from my scraps drawers, drawing colors from the photo--the blue of the sea and the lime green in my friend's daughter's swim suit. I cut the fish out of a paper from Echo Park's Under the sea Collection. I punched the waves using a border punch by EK Success. The little speech bubble was cut from a paper by Lawn Fawn. The wood veneer pieces are by Studio Calico. I've had them in my stash forever. I thought they sort of looked like little stones piled up like that.
That "Capture Life" clipped onto the photo is the branding strip from an Echo Park paper, I think. It was sitting on my scrap desk and I thought it would be perfect here. I meant for the enamel dots to be like bubbles. I know they're not quite coming from all the fishes' mouths, but I think they sort of look like I meant for them to look.
The little silver anchor is a brad by Eyelet Outlet. The black letters are Thickers. I tried stamping down below the bottom green strip and I totally messed it up, which is why I've got the white strip at the bottom to cover it up, and I added one at the top so it wouldn't look too much like I messed up!
