So here's the layout I created for my niece. Her sweet little outfit says "I'm New Here" and features a little alien, so I decided I'd use that as inspiration for my page. I have a thing for aliens and monsters, and I had recently bought these cute little monsters that look sort of like aliens to me.
Here are some details. The background paper with the wonky dots is from the Amy Tangerine Stitched collection. The pink stripe is by Teresa Collins. That blue circle was cut out of an old A2Z Essentials paper that I've probably had for a dozen years. The blue floral paper is also super old--from Autumn Leaves MOD--remember that company? The speech bubbles were cut out of an Echo Park paper. The tab is by Pink Paislee. The chipboard #has my heart phrase is by MAMBI.
Here's a shot showing another monster. The stars were punched with a Fiskars punch.
And another monster. So cute! I added some blue water color in the background using the packaging technique and used a KaiserCraft grid stamp. The rub-ons are also really old, by Luxe Designs (it said 2007 on the package), but they still rub on like butter! The scallop borders are old Doodlebug Paper Frills. I sure did use a lot of older stash on this page.
I hope you'll come play with us! As always, Laura's sketches are so fun to work with!
