Love You to the Moon and Back {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday}

I made another page for one of my students. I created this for Paper Issues' Scraplift Sunday challenge.

Here's Stacie's awesome layout we scraplifted:

No photo description available.

I so wish they made that gorgeous Vicki Boutin paper that Stacie used in 8 x 8. Instead, I used a Paper Issues free cut file called Magical, duplicated in different sizes and then covered with Stickles to try to replicate the effect.

I used Photoplay's To the Moon and Back collection. That arrow clip is by Evalicious.

This collection is so fun for boy pages.

I hope you'll come play along. There are new layouts to scraplift every Sunday, and you have the whole month to play, so we have 5 layouts this month to scraplift, every one of them awesome! Post your scraplift in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group, and you might win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store!

While you're over at the Paper Issues store checking out the hundreds of FREE cut files, be sure to check out all the new stuff in the shop. Use my code Debbi (no e on the end), and you'll receive 20% off your entire purchase!

It's a Lovely Day {Paper Issues/Page Maps collaboration}

I'm super-excited to share that Paper Issues and PageMaps are teaming up this month! Here's what I created:

and the fun sketch Becky sent me to work with:

Here are some details. Most everything on this page is from Photo Play's Stuck on You collection.

I added a couple of enamel dots from my stash onto the clouds for a little dimension.

The black and white floral piece was fussy- cut from the journaling card paper

This is such a lovely collection, and Stacie even created a free cut file to go with this collection. While you're taking a peek at free cut files, check out the awesome goodies for sale in the shop. Use my code, Debbi (no e on the end), and you'll receive 20% off your entire order!

Stuck on You {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday Challenge}

So, I've said before how much fun it is to scraplift so I can try out someone else's style, and Paper Issues has a new one every Sunday. Here's my most recent scraplift:

And here's Damaris's awesome page I scraplifted:

Image may contain: 4 people, including Damaris Velazquez, people smiling

Here are some details. I went pretty clean and simple with my page. I used Photoplay's Stuck on You collection. I used the cut-apart cards in the collection for the top left and bottom right quadrants.

I needed something for the journaling quadrant from Damaris' layout, and I almost went with another cut-apart card, but then I thought about that Huey Lewis song, and I typed up the chorus and used that. And of course I've had that song stuck in my head ever since!

How awesome is this cactus cut file? It's a part of the Stuck on You Cactus free cut file in the Paper Issues store.

The Paper Issues store still has a lot of pieces from this collection. While you're there, check out the free cut files and all the stuff in the store, and if you use my code, Debbi (no e on the end), you'll receive 20% off your entire purchase!

You Are a Masterpiece {Paper Issues Frame It Up Challenge}

I made another page for one of my students:

This layout was inspired by the Frame it Up challenge over at Paper Issues:

Image may contain: text

Here are some details. Most of the papers are from Photoplay's Like a Girl collection, as are the red letter stickers (the black vinyl letter stickers are Thickers). That chipboard flamingo is by My Mind's Eye (On Trend 2)--I thought the color of the flamingo matched peach in the circles on the right-hand side paper. All the flair badges are from A Flair for Buttons.

The blue frames were fussy-cut from an old  paper by My Little Shoebox. The speech bubbles were cut from one the Like a Girl papers.

The camera was cut from a paper by Dear Lizzy Saturday collection, and that puffy heart that says Love it is by Heidi Swapp.

Good Times {CSI Major Case File No. 237}

We've got a brand-new challenge for September at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.

Here's the page I made. Clues I used... Evidence: Grid pattern, stripes, speech bubble, triangles, eye glasses, labels, animals, cactus, washi tape, frame; Testimony: Steps in a lesson.

Tracee and I had bought some cute little Jolee's pinata stickers and had planned to have a fiesta party, but we never got around to it, so on her last night here, we decided to go to a Mexican restaurant. I didn't use the pinata stickers on this layout, but we took some more pictures from that evening, so stay tuned...

Here are some details. Most of the stickers on my page came from Photoplay's For the Love of Summer collection. I used a bunch of papers from my scrap drawers, so most of the papers are older papers. The frame is by Crate Paper, and that speech bubble was cut out of a We R Memory Keepers Notable paper. The background paper is a Bo Bunny paper. I used a stencil that had triangles by The Crafter's Workshop.

Here's a closeup of the other side. I went a little overboard on the enamel dots, I think!

I thought it would be funny to put eyeglasses on the pineapple, and it fit one of the clues. :)

I hope you'll come play with us! Lots of awesome prizes to be won, on top of playing with a fun Case File!
