Hello Blue Skies | Bramble Fox

I made this page for Bramble Fox earlier in the month and forgot to blog about it!

As I was looking for a picture to go with the Hello Blue Skies Perspextives, which comes with the title piece and the sun and cloud, I came across this pretty picture of my friend and her daughter. PinkFresh Studio's My Favorite Story was a good collection for both the picture and the Bramble Fox pieces. And of course I had to add a heart Perspextive, because I always put a heart on the pages I give away.

I love the pretty florals and bows in this collection.

That sun peeking from behind the clouds is such a sweet embellishment.

I highly recommend the Fox Box subscription. You get three packs of Perspextives, which gives you a nice assortment of pieces to work with, as well as an exclusive design only available in the Fox Box. Plus you get a discount on everything in the shop.

Let's Go Enjoy the Journey | Bramble Fox

I'm up on the Bramble Fox blog today with a layout using some of their beautiful Perspextives. The August Fox Box was packed with lots of awesome pieces perfect for documenting a journey, and since I haven't done a whole lot of traveling lately, I decided to use them to document a breakthrough in my weight-loss journey.

The yellow of these Perspextives is such a pretty color, and I thought it went really well with the new Pinkfresh Studio collection called Office Hours, and it turned out that a lot of the elements were perfect for telling my story.

The "Enjoy" word comes in a pack with another word, "Journey," so you can use them together for a title or use them separately as I have done. I added some sweet yellow hearts to go with the "Let's Go!" title. There are several different heart packs, and I've bought them all so that I can use them to add extra dimension here and there. Hearts Galore is a nice set with lots of different colors. Fancy Hearts has different colors in styles. The Hello set has not only a handful of sweet hearts but also a title piece.

I fussy-cut some elements out of the Pinkfresh Studio paper and made a little banner with some loopy black twine. I thought the black added some nice contrast and also brought the eye back to my photo where I'm wearing black and also to my journaling, which was printed with black. I added a black die cut and some black matte enamel dots for a finishing touch.

I hope I've given you an additional idea about how to use travel-themed titles and elements--there are all sorts of journeys we're on in this life!

Don't forget to add your layouts that use Bramble Fox Perspextives to our Facebook Group. We love to see how you use the products!

Fill the Jar {Bramble Fox Stash Smash Challenge}

I recently was invited to join the Bramble Fox design team, so you'll be seeing lots of their beautiful products on my scrapbook pages. It's my turn on the Bramble Fox blog today. Here's my post:

Hey, Bramble Fox Friends! Debbi here with my first blog post as a design team member. I'm so excited to be a part of this team, working with these beautiful Bramble Fox products. One thing to know about me as a scrapper is that I scrap 8 x 8 pages, so the products will look larger than they would on a 12 x 12 page.

I fell in love with these jars from the Jar of Hearts set as soon as I opened my box! And then when I saw this month's Stash Smash challenge, I knew exactly what I'd do with them.

The Stash Smash challenge has two parts: a topic to scrap and some stash to use up. For this month, here's the challenge:
  • Topic: Goals/Hopes & Dreams
  • Stash: Die-cuts, Stickers & Chipboard
I'm on a very long weight-loss journey, and I have two jars with stones. When I lose a pound, I move a stone to my pounds lost jar (if I gain a pound, I have to move it back). I've lost 44 pounds, and I have a lot more to go, so my goal this year is documented on this page.

For the stash part of the challenge, I decided to use up a bunch of die cuts from the Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide collection. I thought the colors really complemented the color of the jars. The jars come with red hearts, but since the red didn't match my color scheme, I used some puffy hearts from the collection instead and saved my red Bramble Fox hearts for a future layout.

I also used the banner word from Celebrate Today Perspextives pack.

Check out the beautiful detail on the top of this jar! Such a gorgeous product, and so versatile too. You'll definitely want to buy more than one set!

I hope you'll come play in this stash busting challenge. Add your creation to the February Stash Smash album by February 28. One lucky person will win a £10 voucher to spend in store. You can enter as many times as you like. I can't wait to see what you make!

Christmas Tree-O {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday}

I played in another Scraplift Sunday challenge over at Paper Issues, and made this page to document my three trees this year: Christmas Tree-O (trio--get it?). I love it when I can think of a clever page title!

Here is the beautiful layout by Olivia that I lifted:

No automatic alt text available.

Here are some details. I used Pinkfresh Studio's Holiday Vibes collection. I layered lots and lots of die cuts from the collection and made my own tag .

I loved that detail of the torn piece on Olivia's layout, so I lifted that too. I used vellum as one of my layers so more of those pretty trees in the background paper would show.

I wanted a cursive font for the title and couldn't find anything small enough, so I made my own by printing it in green on cardstock and cutting it out. The white sprigs are made with an old Martha Stewart punch.

This collection is so, so pretty! There are lots more pieces from the collection in the Paper Issues store, not to mention lots of other awesome stuff AND a gift card bonus sale going on. Use my code Debbi (no e on the end) and get 20% off your entire purchase of scrappy supplies.

Cherish {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday Challenge}

I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today. Here's my post:

Happy Sunday, Paper Issues Friends!

I say this every time because it's true: I love Scraplift Sunday challenges because they get me to try out different styles. I tend to shy away from mixed media because I'm a Nervous Nellie, and I hate messing up. I loved Olivia's layout, and even though I didn't do as much mixed media as she did, I love how my page turned out.

Here's Olivia's amazing layout I lifted:

Image may contain: 1 person

PinkFresh Studio's Indigo Hills 2 collection made it easy for me to achieve a mixed media look.

One of my favorite details on Olivia's layout was how she lined up all those stickers and tags to the right of the page.

My title came from the Paper Issues Cherish Florals free cut file.

You'll definitely want to get in on the fun for a chance to win one of two gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. Just add your creation to the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook page. You have until November 4.

Sleepy Girls {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday}

I had created this page for a Scraplift Sunday challenge at Paper Issues, but couldn't photograph it on time because of the weather conditions.

Here's the awesome layout, by Devra, I lifted:

No automatic alt text available.

Here are some details. Most everything on the page is from the new Indigo Hills 2 Collection by PinkFresh Studio. The little gold metal dots were in my stash and went perfectly with the gold title. I just love the quality of PinkFresh Studio's puffy stickers.

The little white puffy letters are by Evalicious. The orange paper that I mounted the layout on is not from this collection, but I thought it went well with the colors. It's really old paper.

This collection is so pretty. There are still some pieces in the Paper Issues store.

Even though this challenge is passed, there are always tons of awesome challenges every month at Paper Issues. You'll definitely want to get in on the fun for a chance to win one of two gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. Just add your creation to the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook page. You have until November 4.

You Up Yet? {Paper Issues Secret Life of Pets Challenge}

I made another page for Paper Issues Secret Life of Pets challenge. This one is for my friend and pastor as a surprise. I'm in love with her dog!

Here are some details. I used Paper Issues' free cut file called Sunset and Pinkfresh's Be You collection.

The flowers and leaves were all cut from one of the patterned papers. That button is also in the collection.

The white leafy element is cut from a die. Not sure who it's by.

I hope you'll join us in this fun challenge. I spotted a number of pet-related free cut files at the Paper Issues store, and while you're there, take a look at all the awesome new stuff. Use my code, Debbi (no e on the end), and you'll get 20% off your entire order!

Oops! Busted! {Paper Issues Secret Life of Pets Challenge}

It was my turn at the Paper Issues blog a couple of days ago. Here's my post:

Hey, Paper Issues Fans! I'm here to share a super-fun challenge called "Secret Life of Pets," and believe me, this little rascal of mine has all kinds of secrets. I was planning to make a meal in my crockpot. I stepped out of the kitchen, and this is what I came back to see:

Pinkfresh Studio's A Case of the Blahs is the perfect collection to document my kitty's antics.

Pinkfresh Studios' embellishment packages have a TON of elements, so they're always a good buy.

I love how all the Pinkfresh Studio phrase stickers can help to tell a story.

We want to see your Pets! Share your pages and projects showcasing your furry (Or maybe not so furry?) friends. Maybe you've got a silly photo to share with a funny story? Maybe you just have a wild imagination and want to share what you think your pets are thinking. Remember! You have until October 1st to enter your project for a chance at one of the TWO Gift Cards we give away each month.
