Love | Bramble Fox DT layout + CSI Case File No. 297

It was my turn to share a layout on Bramble Fox's Instagram the other day, and I decided I'd use their beautiful products to make my layout for our first October challenge CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.

Here are the Case File and clues for this challenge. From the evidence clues, I chose stripes, plus signs, woodland animals, flowers, leaves, crown, woodgrain, autumn themed elements. I also went with the basic color scheme and added some gold.

Here are some details. How gorgeous is this rose gold Perspextive? It's called Love. I decided to see if I had any Felicity Jane kits that matched the colors, and this one called Autumn was pretty close. The papers, flowers, leaves, and plus signs are from the kit. The rest came from my stash.

The lovely little crown from the Bramble Fox Glitzy and Glamour pack was just perfect to fit on this sweet little deer's head.

The jeweled heart is also from the Glitzy and Glam pack. That frame is a stamp I recently got, and the clip, pearls, and brown label are all from my stash.

If you haven't yet used the Bramble Fox Perspextives, why not give them a try by subscribing to their Fox Box, which gives you an assortment each month, including some exclusive pieces. While you're over at Bramble Fox perusing the beautiful stuff in the shop, be sure to check out all the new winter/Christmas pieces!

And I do hope you'll play along at CSI. Look at all the generous sponsors who are donating prizes this month:

Favorite Hair Place {Bramble Fox Stash Smash Challenge}

I made this page for the current Stash Smash challenge over at Bramble Fox.

Here's the April challenge. Every month, the Stash Smash challenge gives a topic and something from your stash to you.

Here are some details. How beautiful is that shiny silver Perspextive? It was in the April Fox Box, but you can also buy it separately.

When I set out to scrap these photos from my visit to my favorite hair salon, Alter Ego, I remembered this Felicity Jane kit that had the girl with the big curly hair. It turned out to be perfect for the colors in my pictures.

As you can see, I stitched through my title and the borders and added some tangled thread behind the photos. How gorgeous is that gold bow? It's from the Glitzy and Glamour set. The star that I added to the bottom title is also a silver Perspextive.

I hope you'll come play in our monthly Stash Smash challenges.  You might win a gift certificate to buy some of these beautiful products!

You Are My Sunshine {CSI Case File No. 279}

Our mid-month reveal went live at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. I made another page to give to one of my students:

Here's the Case File that inspired this layout:

Image by Marnie Maurri

As well as the colors, I used a bunch of Evidence clues: dots, stripes, black and white prints, scallops, hearts, sun, buttons, people elements, cursive fonts, something that looks hand-drawn, and of course I used the inspiration word "sunshine" for my Testimony clue.

The little girl in the Scene made me think of the die cuts in the Felicity Jane kits. I went searching through the kits I have to see if any matched up with the colors in the Case File and I found one. Here are some details. The sun is a cut file from the Silhouette store. Everything in the picture below is from the Felicity Jane kit except for the yellow cardstock, the tags, and the black and white stripes.

I'm always happy when I can use buttons on my layouts because I have a TON. This is an old chipboard button by My Mind's Eye.

How sweet is that little clip? And I also love that tiny Felicity Jane stamp with the trio of dots.

I hope you'll come play along. We've got 9 generous sponsors donating prizes this month:

Puppy Love {Stuck?! Sketches March 1 Challenge}

We've got a brand-new challenge live at Stuck?! Sketches. Here's the layout I made for a friend. I just love these sweet photos of her daughter and her little puppy!

Here's the beautiful sketch Laura made for us:

And here are some details. Most everything on the page is from the Felicity Jane kit called Reagan. I used a few things from my stash, like the pearls, the doily, the gold Making Memories letters that spell Puppy, and the 2Crafty chipboard circle.

I just love this sweet velvet bow from the kit. The dog-themed word stickers are from my stash.

Happy Mother's Day {Stuck?! Sketches July 15 Challenge}

We've got an awesome new sketch challenge at Stuck?! Sketches. I made this page for my niece who was celebrating her very first Mother's Day this year.

Here's the sketch. I stayed pretty true to the sketch but flipped it horizontally, mainly because of the space in the photo was on the right and I wanted to add embellishments there.

Here are some details. I used the Felicity Jane London kit and added a few bits from my stash. How sweet are those little labels and that lovely chipboard title? I fussy cut the flowers out of a patterned paper.

That circle is a die cut from Simply Graphic. I had it sitting on my desk leftover from another layout and thought it would work nicely here. There were a bunch of colors in that Persian rug that sort of clashed with the papers I wanted to use, so I made that part of the photo black and white. The chipboard cat is from Crate Paper's Cute Girl collection. So cute!

A shot of the tags that came in the kit.

You Make Me Smile {Stuck?! Sketches May 15 Reveal}

We've got a new challenge live at Stuck?! Sketches. Check out this fantastic sketch Laura made:

I made another page to give to one of my students:

Here are some details. I used the Felicity Jane Caroline kit, plus a few odds and ends from my stash.

How sweet is that little cut-apart girl? I added a flower, cut out from a patterned paper, to her hair and a rhinestone. The blue flowers were cut out of one of the patterned papers in the kits. I just love the silicone charms that come in many of the Felicity Jane kits. The rhinestones, twine, and doily were from my stash.

The sweet flair badge is also in the kit, as well as these darling puffy stickers. I love puffy stickers! I added some some words using Headline rub-on letters to make part of the title on the die-cut label.

The cursive "Smile" die cut is from the kit. The phrase stamps are from other Felicity Jane kits. The tiny dots are a Kaisercraft stamp. I added them after the fact and then wish I hadn't added them. Sigh.

I hope you'll come play with us. Prizes are being donated from some awesome companies:

CSI Case File No. 226

We've got a fun new challenge live at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. Here's the Case File:

I made two layouts! The first one I made was for one of my students. Clues I used...Evidence: polka dots, clouds, bow, light bulb, animals, bugs, hearts, plants, transparent stuff, enamel dots; Testimony: Write about what makes me happy (my students).

Here are some closeups. The giant lightbulb is a Silhouette cut file. I backed it with vellum, which unfortunately went a little warpy when I glued those vinyl Thickers on. (I should've known better). The clouds were stamped with a Felicity Jane Stamp. Cant' remember where the die cuts are from since I've divided them up by color.

There are some puffy stickers from my ever-growing puffy sticker collection (I'm obsessed with puffy stickers!) for my animal and heart clues.

I think the flower die cuts are from Cocoa Vanilla.

The second page I made with the January Felicity Jane kit called Sophie. I couldn't help but make another page when I got this kit in the mail because the colors were almost perfect.

That's my friend's daughter and the journaling came from my friend's facebook page post on the photo. Clues on this page: Evidence - polka dots, clouds, banners, hearts, sailboat, plants, transparency; Testimony - Journal on a cloud. All products except the green paper and letter stickers are by Felicity Jane.

Here are some details. The boat and clouds are Silhouette cut-files.

I used the Silhouette sketch pens for the journaling. The white puffy letter stickers are by Evalicious. I thought the scallops on one of the Felicity Jane papers would be perfect to serve as waves.

I haven't used my embossing folders in forever. I thought the clouds needed a little extra something.

I hope you'll come play with us. We've got lots of awesome sponsors donating prizes again this month. Definitely come check out what the rest of the team and our guest designers made for this Case File.
