Boo Yah! | Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday Challenge

I made this for one of the Scraplift Sunday challenges in October at Paper Issues.

Here's Cassie Wiscarson's awesome layout that I lifted. Obviously mine is going to look a little different because I scrap 8 x 8.

Here are some details. I used Bella Blvd's Sweet & Spooky collection from a couple of Halloweens ago. I love the cute little spiders in this collection. I added googly eyes to them. The die cut behind the photos is by Bramble Fox.

I always add hearts to the layouts I give away. How cute are these chipboard pieces?

I had this hairy fiber in my stash from eons ago that I thought would be perfect for a Halloween page.

Nuvo Drops were a perfect finishing touch.

Fangtastic! | Bramble Fox

I created this fun Halloween layout using some awesome Bramble Fox Perspextives called Halloween Trinkets. 

I love the translucent Perspextives, and I'm totally in love with the etched pieces Bramble Fox has been creating lately! I primarily used Bella Blvd's Sweet & Spooky collection from a past Halloween.  

After I designed my basic composition, I decided I needed something in the background, so I swiped a Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad across my paper. I love how it looks on the textured Bazzill. I love the sparkly black letter stickers I found in my stash. I cut a witches hat out of one of the Sweet & Spooky papers and perched it on the g.

I found these super old vampire and ghost Do-Jiggies and decided they'd be perfect for this page. The speech bubbles were cut out of a Pebbles Spooky Boo paper. I lifted them up with pop dots. Those cool wonky stars are from Bramble Fox--from the Fox Stamps #2, which are a Christmas set, but many of the stamps in that set are very versatile and perfect for other themes.

How awesome are these purple witch's boots? So whimsical and fun!

Rainy Day Bug Hunt | Paper Issues 30 Days of Sketches - Sketch 23

I'm finally done with all 30 sketches, just a little behind in sharing them. Here's my page for sketch 23:

And the sketch, which I pretty much followed except I added the journaling.

Here are some details. I knew I bought that Bella Blvd Bug Explorer paper I bought would come in handy! The rainy day bug hunt called for some watercolor in the background. I found some perfect 7gpsies phrase stickers to add. And I used Magic Mesh. I still can't believe how many rolls of that stuff I have!

I dusted off some old Heidi Swapp chipboard letters an combined them with my current favorite alpha, Bella Blvd Florence. I fussy cut some teeny-tiny bugs to crawl on the title.

How fun are those jars and a magnifying glasses cut from one of the papers?

Our Little Mermaid | Paper Issues 30 Days of Sketches - Day 15

I'm on a roll with Paper Issues 30 Days of Sketches. Here's Day 16:

Here's the sketch. 

And some details. I started by adding two different colors of watercolors to my background. I fussy cut fish from a paper from Bella Blvd's Secrets of the Sea collection from a few years ago. 

I looked through my dies to see if I could find some that looked like seaweed. I found these Tim Holtz Thinlets. First, I watercolored some paper, and after it dried, I die cut the leaves and made it so that some of the fish were swimming through the fronds.

I love the awesome Florence alphas by Blvd. I added a heart, like I always do when I'm giving away my pages.

I added some fish bubbles with pen and then added some "water drops" in the form of clear Nuvo Drops.

It was my turn on the Paper Issues blog the other day. Here's my post:

Hey, everyone! I'm sharing a layout today for our little challenge called I'm Here for the Boos. It's October after all, so we've got Halloween on the mind. Don't celebrate Halloween? Show us your Booze, LOL, and scrap your favorite beverage.

I used the delightful Halloween collection by Bella Blvd called Sweet & Spooky from last year. The store still has some stickers from this adorable collection. Paper Issues has lots of free Halloween-themed cut files in the shop. I used two of them to create my layout, Web Background and Patchwork Pumpkin:

     

How cool is that spider web background? And that title is pretty awesome too!

How fun are those costumes my friend's kids are wearing?

This was such a fun page to make! Halloween layouts are the perfect time to be playful.

#Awesome Kid {Paper Issues Swanky Swatches Challenge}

I'm on the Paper Issues blog today with another fun challenge! Here's my post:

 Hey, everyone! I'm here with another layout I created for one of my students.

The challenge was to use this gorgeous color scheme:

In addition to the colors, I was inspired by the image to use watercolors. I also wanted to mimic the changing look of the seascape as the water moves by layering lots of stamps and ink. The circle of the umbrella led me to choose some circular stamps, and that scripty writing led me to search for a scripty word in the Paper Issues free cut files. I used lots of old stash along with some newer items.  The star stamp and numbers in clrcles are from the Fancy Pants Take Note stamp set, which is available in the shop.

These awesome red letters and hearts are the new Bella Blvd Florence alphas, which come in a rainbow of colors. I used McIntosh.

I got the scripty title from the Hashtag Girl Squad free cut file:

I had to find something playful to go on my page, and I found these cute dinosaurs on a paper from BasicGrey's old Archaic collection in my stash.

These colors are so pretty together, especially with the addition of black, which adds wonderful contrast. I hope you'll come play along with this or many of the other challenges at Paper Issues. Trick or Treat {Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday Challenge}

I played in Paper Issues Scraplift Sunday challenge and made this:

I loved lifting Kat's beautiful layout--such a fun and unique design! I pretty much copied the basic design, except I used one photo instead of three.

Here are some details. I used Bella Blvd's Sweet & Spooky Collection. There are so many fun elements to fussy cut from this collection. The Sweet & Spooky tab is from the branding strip. The little witch girl was at the edge of the paper and I hated to see her go to waste so I put her peeking out from above the photo.

The chipboard pieces in this collection are so cute! Pretty much everything on this page is from the collection, except the enamel dots and the Tim Holtz word stickers. I put a little heart on the ghost because I'm adding a heart to each page I make for this little girl.
